I’m proud to have been elected your Member of Parliament. After 14 years of a Conservative government that left families worse off, the new Labour government is delivering change. As your MP, I will stand up for you and be your voice for Barking.
I previously served as a councillor and council leader after working in our National Health Service. As a council leader, I ran high-quality public services that supported the most vulnerable, built much-needed new homes, and gave real opportunities to those who needed it most.
As your Member of Parliament for Barking, you will always be my number one priority. I’m here to work with local people to get things done and be your local voice for Barking. I will stand up for you in Parliament and champion local issues that matter most to you, from tackling antisocial behaviour to securing more NHS appointments.
Under the new Labour government, change has begun — we are fixing the foundations to rebuid Britain. I will fight for you and deliver for our Barking community.
